Hi Bill: Just browsing and happened to see Debbie's comment, and knowing what I do of her, I wanted to read her thoughts, and then I read your piece too. I am glad to find this sacred page of reflections. It is nice to discover a new perspective from which I can appreciate Grace. To be here now commenting feels bold, but symmotaneously necessary too?! I can't help but pass on pearls of wisdom I have come to learn ever so slowly and lovingly about life...that who we are is not "out there" in the future somewhere, but "in the me now" in this very moment all the time. Sitting still, quietly slowing down, may seem a radical approach in this crazy fast paced world of ours, but from my experience, it has become necessary, and actally helps me know myself better, giving God a chance to speak....and from the inside. Isn't that who we need to be listening too? ....Isn't God trying to tell us who we are all the time from the inside? Meditation reaches in and pulls out a whole lot about ourselves, and let's us trust and be happy with who we are right now....to learn more, google Easwaran.org. Easwaran is an amazing teacher....

Grace does happen - it happened to me this early Sunday morning here in Florida - missing my Seattle family and missing my Grace family - and there was this wonderful message from Bill. Thanks for this website - it is beautiful and fills my heart. I'll be back in person July 12 and can't wait to be in my "home" church again. God's Grace, Peace and Love to all. Jill

Eugene Cho's video was a refreshing take on what truly matters in today's world. The idea that we can all make a difference by just being kind. Recognizing the beauty of each individual and ones inherent gifts. So simple and yet so powerful.

Thank you Vicar Bill.

Also, I can relate to your letter sharing thoughts on what is left to learn at this point in time. And of course, the resistence to learning and changing as the curve gets steeper! I am right there and so appreciate the reflections made.
I have not come to any conclusions yet about what must transpire in order to get to the next point. But I feel so much better knowing the struggle is not unique or insolvable. And with that said I will sign off with a favorite quote by Carl Jung.....

" Your vision will become clear only when you look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."

Hello Rertporomub,
I am willing to admit we are new to this blogging thing. Adding a RSS subscription button to the right hand column would be one way, but I need to figure out how to do this for our Vicar of Grace! Meanwhile, you can simply click on the feed icon in your URL browser window and the feeds should then just roll on into your email box. They did when I tried this in Safari. Let us know how it goes!

"Your life too. Take a look. Examine. Don’t judge or condemn or feel ashamed—just look honestly."

"Did I even hear my name?"

These two communications left me wondering, what's my state of perception? Lent provides an opportunity to be mindful. If my heart is in the right place and open to understand, do I wait for enlightenment or should I encourage the opportunity? Today I'm going to think about my sphere of influence and the skills which can be put to better purpose.

I found the Vicar's audio sermons and want the Webmaster to know the Grace outreach to people working on the road is much appreciated. While it is not the full experience of liturgy, music, and friendly folks; the audio sermons initiated the thoughtful experience I enjoy with Grace church attendance.
